Ewing Cultural Center Mid-Fall Wedding | Allison + Charles 10.13.12

Ewing Cultural Center Mid-Fall Wedding, Bloomington, IL

For a day that started out looking just plain ole nasty this wedding turned out fabulously! Most of the morning and into the early part of the afternoon we had pouring rains. Needless to say this made Allison, her mother and everyone else involved in the planning just a tad bit nervous. By 1:30 pm or so the rains went away and we got ready for an outside ceremony. At last, Allison would not be denied her childhood dream of having a Ewing Cultural Center Wedding. We started the early part of our day at the historic Vrooman Mansion Bed & Breakfast where the bride and her bridesmaids got ready for Allison’s special day. Vrooman Mansion is one of the best locations in town for this kind of thing for it provides a great background for wedding photos, be it photos of the bride and her groom or family photos. It is a great location for photography! Once Allison was in her wedding dress it was time to begin portraits of her and the bridesmaids. Shortly thereafter Charles arrived for their ‘First Look’ moment. Charles is not a guy that wears his emotions on his sleeve but I think this moment got to him just a little. 🙂 Anyway, a great moment to photograph! Hang in there Charles she looks great! We packed everything up and made our way to Ewing to do more photos of Allison and Charles and their families. The fall colors were luscious, the rain just made them pop! We got some great photos of the two them in and around Ewing and then it was time for the ceremony. If there was one thing that was evident early on this day, Allison was one very happy bride! The other thing that was obvious, is that she and her father have a very special place in each other’s hearts. It’s so evident in how they look at each other. Anyway, a wonderful wedding to attend and a gorgeous wedding to photograph. We wish you guys all the best in the days and years ahead!

This was Jess’s first wedding at Ewing, so I asked her what she thought about it, she said, “I loved it!” Thanks to Jess for all her help! As always, she pulled in some wonderful photos on this wedding.
