2015 Wedding Collection | Photographer Favorites
We recently finished up our 2015 wedding season and what an awesome season it turned out to be! Incredible couples and locations! Therefore, we want to thank each and every one of our couples who trusted us to capture their special day for them. We witnessed some amazing events and captured some indescribable emotions that we hope will help each one of our couples recall all the fun and happiness of their day for many years to come. We witnessed a groom that rode a horse, several verklempted grooms and my favorite, a groom that received a home-made apple pie, all for himself, at his reception. Many stunning brides and drop dead gorgeous gowns. We listened to humorous speeches, very touching emotional speeches, speeches that lasted well… way too long. 🙂 Children doing humorous things, like laying on the dance floor under mom’s dress during the first dance. A flower girl dancing with the groom and so many others. All that can be seen below.
Once again we pretty much criss crossed the entire sate this past year with weddings from as far south as Effingham and as far north as Chicago. We also traveled to the very West edge of the state to Nauvoo and over to Champaign several times. We had the privilege of photographing a very large South Asian Indian wedding in Michigan City Indiana down to a very small intimate wedding at the local Vrooman Mansion Bed and Breakfast. In many ways 2015 was a year of international weddings for us. We photographed two Chinese weddings, two Indian weddings and our first ever Muslim wedding. So we saw an amazing variety of customs, colors and personal styles.
Most of the photos that you will see below are real moments with a few portraits and a few details sprinkled in here and there. By and large our focus on the wedding day is attempting to capture the real moments, the real emotions, your real life.
Additionally, each photo is live link to the full blog post that the photo was taken from. So if you would like to see more about the wedding that the photo came from, just mouse over the photo and click on it.
Again, congrats to all of our clients, we wish you many years of happiness.
Lastly, a huge thank you to all those that helped me with my weddings this year, especially Hannah, who in addition to taking care of all her responsibilities here at the studio was also planning her own wedding. Then there was also Shannon and Bridget who filed in admirably when Hannah was not available to go. Then lastly our newest assistant Brittany who is taking over for Hannah who is moving on to other things. Hannah will be greatly missed she has done a fantastic job for nearly three years now.
