Blessed Sacrament Abraham Lincoln Hotel Wedding
What a day, what a day, what a day! Between crying mothers, a laughing sister, proud fathers, kissing parents and groomsmen shenanigans this was a day filled with so much happiness that the day could barely contain it all! My kind of wedding! On top of all that we had a Gold umbrella (a perfect match for the Gold and Black wedding colors), an impromptu Marilyn Monroe impersonation by the bride herself, a crazy 45 foot bridal party limo (see below) and a conga line started by Liz’s mother that had the whole reception venue rockin! Combine all of this together and you get a wedding event that will be hard to forget and hard to top!
The weather was near prefect for this summertime downtown Springfield, IL wedding. The ceremony took place at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was followed by dinner and dancing at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel. Their banquet room looked amazing! So much so you almost hated to let the guests come in and sit down. What a way to climax the random meeting of two people who first met at a Springfield landmark, the ‘Ice Deli’. Congrats to Liz and Michael and thank you so much for having us be there to capture all the fun of your special day! May you have many years filled with much happiness!
Want to know more about the ‘Ice Deli’, here is a link to their engagement photos that we did on a very warm day last summer: Liz + Michael
PS: Thanks to Shannon Lankford for helping out on this wedding while my assistant Brittany is recovering from her broken foot.
