Erin’s Pavilion Wedding Springfield IL
Mackenzie and Ryan were blessed with a perfect day for an outside wedding at Erin’s Pavilion in Springfield, IL. You could not have custom ordered a nicer day! We started our day at the Hilton Tower in downtown Springfield with Jess photographing Mackenzie and the bridesmaids as they got ready. Jess got some great shots of Mackenzie’s blue suede heels and brooch bouquet that Mackenzie would be carrying for the ceremony. The brooch bouquet was made by Mackenzie’s mother with brooches from her mother and grandmother. While Jess was finishing up with the girls I was off working with Ryan and his buddies at the historic old State Capitol in downtown Springfield. This was the very court house where Abraham Lincoln would have spent much of his time before becoming the 16th President of the United States. From this point on, the day moved rather quickly. Next it was time for the first look between Ryan and his soon to be wife Mackenzie, what a moment, so much excitement! We quickly moved through portraits of Mackenzie by herself, with her bridesmaids and then the entire wedding party. Then it was off to Erin’s Pavilion the site for both the ceremony and reception to do some family photos. As family photos were winding down guests were arriving and taking their seats for what turned out to be a ‘standing room only’ event! With a slight summer breeze and small lake as a backdrop for their ceremony, vows and rings were exchanged and Mackenzie and Ryan were announced as husband and wife. Off they dashed in an Austin Healey restored by Ryan and his father. Jess and I followed the newlyweds to the outskirts of Springfield to a historic abandoned farm for a few photos of them as husband wife along with the Austin. Back at Erin’s Pavilion it was time for dinner and an evening of live music. So many wonderful photos from this wedding. We have way too many to blog, such great emotions, excitement and happiness! You guys were wonderful! Great job on the photos and really the whole day. We wish you many many years of joy and happiness.
