Married Under Willow Tree Summer Farm Wedding
Shelby choose to get married under a big willow in the back yard of her parents farm. The farm where she grew up. There is something about getting married under a big ole willow tree that just screams summer! Such a perfect setting for a farm wedding! And this day was one of those lazy warm summer days where the sky is blue and filled with those big white billowy clouds. One of those days that just beckons you to grab a sweet tea and sit under that big willow and enjoy the breeze. No time for that we had a wedding to photograph. Shelby invited six of her close girlfriends to be bridesmaids and to stand with her at her ceremony. Jace on the other hand, not sure where he found those guys that stood up with him. Rumor had it that he may have found them out standing in a cron field or something. 🙂 Actually a great wedding party, we had a blast working with them!
Once Shelby was in her dress and Jace in his tuxedo we arranged for a ‘first look’. We love to photograph ‘first looks’ and this one did not disappoint! The expressions of excitement on their faces said it all. After a few photos of Shelby and Jace around the farm it was time for their ceremony. Guests were invited to take their seats, Shelby, Jace and the wedding party took their places under the willow tree. Blue skies and white clouds surrounded everyone. The ceremony was brief and the reception tent just a few steps away. Dinner was served buffet style with some good country cookin. Once it got dark the dancing took place in the adjacent machine shed. As the evening progressed everyone was delighted with a short fireworks display in honor of the newlyweds! Before we knew it it was time for us to pack it up and head home. A wonderful wedding to attend and to photograph! A day filled with a crazy amount of laughter and tears.
We wish you guys many days and years of happiness! Below are a few of our favs from this beautiful wedding, enjoy! Please feel free to leave a message below for the newly weds.
PS: Thanks to Brittany for having such a large part in photographing this wedding.
