Reggie Redbird Crashes Wedding Reception Uptown Marriott
Yes it’s true, more on that in a moment. An amazing day for this beautiful couple! Gotta love a groom that picks out a black tuxedo with thin lapels for his wedding, so 1960’s, so James Bond! A real classic! The excitement and emotion on this day quickly ramped-up as the bride and groom did a card/gift exchange with each other. Joe was totally blown away by his gift from Casey and Casey just loved her gift from Joe. Something that she saw on a recent vacation and Joe secretly bought it for her. After the gift exchange we all headed out to the location where this couple actually met for the very first time in their lives. A classroom inside Schroeder Hall on the campus of Illinois State University. They wanted to reenact the first time they met as their ‘first look’ moment on their wedding day. How unique! After a few portraits of both of them on the quad it was on to Evelyn Chapel to tie the knot. We had a couple more ‘first ever’ moments at this wedding, in addition to the first look location. After the ceremony we caught the father of the bride doing his version of the ‘father of the bride’ jig. Priceless! Flowers of the day, white roses and white hydrangeas. Gorgeous! A ballroom at the Uptown Normal Marriott severed as the gathering place for dinner and dancing. Lastly, this too was a ‘first ever’ moment, we had Reggie Redbird the ISU mascot crashing the reception and taking the dance floor by storm. Ever see a large bird do the chicken dance? Or maybe it should be called the ‘redbird’ dance. Hilarious! All in all an emotionally charged fun filled day for Casey and Joe! We wish you many years of happiness!
Below are a limited number of the amazing moments form this day! Enjoy!
PS: Thanks goes out to Brittany for all of her help and for capturing the ‘father of the bride’ jig. 🙂
